Equipment Inspection Course

The course has been developed for individuals who wish to take responsibility for the formal equipment inspections as required by the Work a Height Regulations and specifically BS EN 365. The training is designed to provide the underpinning knowledge and practical skills to inspect all fall protection equipment included within the Tetra Safety Systems.


The course includes:

  • An outline of the main requirements of the inspection regime
  • An understanding of the key components of the fall protection equipment and the way it can be damaged.
  • An understanding of the importance of the inspection process and identify how even minor damage can reduce the equipment strength.
  • An inspection of a Harness, Cows tail, Rope, Rope Grab and Ratchet Strap.
  • An inspection of the ladder securing- Equipment (Ladder Yoke, Ladder Strap and ladder bolt).
  • Completion of a written and practical assessment to confirm understanding of course content.

Materials: Candidate guides will be issued to each attendee.

Pre-requisites: Each candidate must attend with a Tetra kit that includes the equipment currently in use with your business.

Certification: A Tetra Certificate and ID Card will be issued upon successful completion of the course and assessments. This will be valid for 3 years from date of course.
